Florance Flora was awarded the ‘Best Nursery in large nursery category’ 2018 award. The Indian Nurserymen Association (INA), a non – profit organization formed by Late Shri. Arjun Dass Agarwal , conducted its Annual General Body Meeting & Elections 2018 on 23rd September 2018 in Chennai. The meet was attended by 400 – 500 nurserymen from all over India.
INA serves as a great platform for nurserymen from across India, including small towns and villages, to come together and discuss the challenges that the floriculture industry is facing in India. Various challenges were addressed that included:
- Lack of information on advanced cultivation practices and greenhouse technology.
- Lack of research and development in floriculture, especially on new varieties and cultivation methods.
- Lack of sale promotion activities in India.
- Climate related challenges that lead to reduction in flower yield.
- Unavailability of land in cities due to the boom in real estate business.
Nurserymen addressed the above problems and discussed solutions that could benefit the entire group of growers and vendors. INA helps growers discuss about the latest technology that is being used by farmers across the globe and eventually results in technology sharing.
INA strives to increase the ethics and principles in the plant business throughout the country and organizes many awards each year that help recognize the best players in the floriculture industry in India. INA has set up an Award Committee for this purpose that chooses the best among the referrals and awards the deserving. Our founder Mr. S.K Gutgutia received the award for the Best Nursery in a large nursery category in Chennai. Various other awards were also distributed to the other achievers in the field.
Mr. Gutgutia is extremely thankful for this honor and promises to continually provide his services to the floriculture industry in terms of improved quality measures and new products each year. Florance Flora has recently set up its most ambitious project in Hassan where Mr. Gutgutia plans to build a model floriculture park to educate and transform the way floriculture business runs in India.
